Me too despite the lack of support and updates by CMX.

If it all the original features vBPlaza has then I'd most certainly consider it.
 
OMG it's wonderful! But the work of vbcredits2 is lost? The VBC project continues here with another name? Or in the official website of vbc?

Lol! The currency mod that Dark is creating is so much better than vbPlaza. xD

Anyways, doesn't vbPlaza have a vulnerability in its code that allows hackers to get access into and ruin your forum? I've been told this, which is the reason why vBulletin.org has removed its download page from their website.
 
Gotta agree with Redspades here.

My Job is designing amazing products, and even I was blown away by what DW has managed to do with this new mod, it's quite incredible. Implements every idea i ever had for a points system basically, and then about a hundred more xD.
 
Systems like vbcommerce and vbadvertise, vbcredits and related projects will still be in development at vbcredits.com & by PixelFX Studios, We have team of new programmers that have come together to work on our systems. And we'll be supporting our clients as per normal on site.

As stated darkwaltz4 has decided to code for [dbtech] and stop working at pixelfx studios. People change jobs all the time. And as stated both on our site and here we wish him the best. And are moving on with development as normal.

Not sure what direction the one at vBCredits.com will go in to be honest, but it's likely they will be quite similar at first.

As we have the original coder here at DBTech, as well as a team of 3 other coders and another experienced product designer, it's likely that our points mod will be the one with the more/larger upgrades, but i'm sure there will be full feature lists of both posted for you to compare if/when it comes to it ^.^

They do some real nice products (vBAdvertise, vBTracker etc) that we have no plans to work on/create, so you guys might want to check them out and see if those products interest you.

Time will tell for sure.

It did but that was like 2 years ago. Since then it's been a pretty stable working product.

Well having a long track record with Dark I am a bit concerned in many ways. I have paid for products before completion to get a special price only to wait 6-9 months for him to finish them. He has been as unreliable as one could get as a service provider for a paid for product. And since I have paid for his products that now lie dead for now I will be quite unhappy if he releases them here for $$. In fact I believe it is quite illegal to do so.

Any plans to satisfy those who now have been dragged here at darks mercy? Running to a new site doesn't relieve one of liabilities.

Sorry to bring DB in to this but they and the customer need to know what they are getting in to here. He was paid to do code at vbcredits which I bought. I don't want to buy it again and then find out it was illegally distributed and cannot be used.

=) Anything you purchased at vbcredits.com was from PixelFXStudios (who own vbcredits.com) and not DarkWaltz4 personally.

PixelFX retains copies off all the work Darkwaltz4 had done prior to him leaving the team, so you should ask him about your pre-orders.

I can assure you that there are absolutely no legal issues with anything which Dark will release here at DBTech, and i believe that with our set up where his only duties are code-based and with him having the support of a team behind him, there will be no issues with working to schedule - none of our current coders have any issues doing it, and i am confident that Dark won't either =)

At vbcredits.com Dark was also expected to take on many other duties, which prevented him from coding at the rate he would like, he also had no team behind him who were adept at coding/product design etc, so he was doing several jobs at once, which greatly impacted on his ability to perform them to as high a standard as he would like. This isn't an issue at DBTech, and was a large factor in him joining our team.

If you have paid for something and not received it, I suggest you take it up with the owner of vBCredits/PixelFXstudios (Thats who you paid). It's not something we can help you with unfortunately.

DarkWaltz agreed to allow PixelFXstudios full use of all code he made while working alongside PixelFXStudios, and obviously he also retains full use of it here at DragonByte Technologies - purchasing from either site will be perfectly legal, and if you have previously purchased from vbcredits.com you will be able to download/use any updates they choose to make for vBCredits at vbcredits.com

We have also opted to offer vbcredits.com customers a discount here at DragonByte-Tech. If you want to PM me with a screenshot of your transaction to vBCredits.com I can make sure you are assigned to the correct secondary usergroup and are eligible for the discounts (which will be on many products, not just vBCredits =) )

I had wondered if that was the problem over there. It seemed like there was too much going on and not enough people to handle it all, which is why I stopped waiting and came over here. The potential of his original project looked pretty great, which is why I have hopes he will do some good work on this team.

I guess the keyword there is "alongside". If he was paid in anyway by pixel then outside any binding contracts between the two pixel owns all the rights to the code.

I hope it doesn't affect it here. We just want it done.

There was no employer/employee contract between DrakWaltz4 & PixelFX studios =)

It was, for all intents and purposes, a partnership - once which was dissolved amicably with both parties agreeing to retain full rights to all prior works.
