OK so now i made sure all of the files are chown and chgrp exactly the same as the webserver user. It's now working! I had some sub-directories owned by root and that messed things up. I recursively changed owner and group to the whole upload area and now it works.
Tried that but still no fix.
I tried to copy some of the images that exist and show up in the gallery and renamed them test1.jpg TEST2.jpg TEST3.JPG and put them in a separate directory. I now get an error importing them.
Importing...Please wait until the importer has finished.

Same thing... Just to be sure I am doing this correct I created a seperate directory in the upload directory called ./dallas which contains the new images. When I click on mass import I see a selection to choose which directory to import. I select the full path for the directory of the...
I verified the errors were enabled. I just noticed the directory was created with root permissions. I reset all the group and user owners to the proper version and rebooting the server now. Will test again...
I created a second directory in the upload path that I placed a number of new pictures to mass upload. When I select mass upload it offers me the original path or the new path to upload from. When I choose the new path the link appears to start but it never seems to do anything. I let it set for...
Where do I set the image sizes? I have it auto resize but the default seems to be 800X600 or something small like this. Would like to increase the size. Where is this set? I have been looking at all the admin control panel settings but it's not clear.
I verified and only about 100 images were duplicated. I will attempt to remove them manually. Any tools or scripts available to scrub the images to remove duplicates?
Which directory is used for the images that make up the gallery? Im specifcally calling your comment "erase the uploaded files". I don't want to eliminate all the source images. Only eliminate the duplicates.
I adjusted the timeout as well as the memory limit and that allowed me to import the images. If I ran the script 7-8 times and it partially worked does that mean I now have 7-8 copies of the same image?
Restarted Apache.
Now getting this error:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 2272 bytes) in /*****/*****/*****/*****/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 905
I did find several errors previously when it was reading in some of the files...
I'm still trying out the free version to see if this will work for my site. I tried to use the mass import tool from the ACP. I have all my images in the directory indicated and proceed to assign it to a Gallery I setup. I use the userID (#) and then select the album and such. The import process...
OK I got further. I managed to move the images from the existing directory to the one indicated in the ACP Mass Import section. I then was able to proceed and point to a user ID (the User # and not the name - hung me up for a bit). It asked for what category and album and I attempted to import...
I installed the demo and can not seem to find the section to do a bulk upload from a directory on my server? Is that only available on the PRO version? Help please? I was able to read in all my members individual albums they created so that works. Just I have the directory full of images I want...
Thanks. Does it require a new database or does it keep the images in a defined directory on the server file system? I’d prefer a separate database or file system. If database sizes get excessive my ISP starts to complain and I have to do all sorts of gymnastics!
