Bug Adding code to navbar template to show instance everywhere not working.

Just installed vbShout and setup instance1. Using the auto display 'after navbar' worked perfectly from the get-go to show the shoutbox on the forum home, but adding
Code:
 {vb:raw show.vbshout_instance1}
to the navbar template and setting auto display to 'disabled' causes the shoutbox to not show at all on any pages.

Any common mistakes that I might be making to cause this not to work? I tried putting the code both right below the
Code:
{vb:raw ad_location.global_below_navbar}
in the template, and also at the very bottom of the navbar template. Neither made a difference, just doesn't show up.

Any tips to get this working would be appreciated, looking forward to replacing the old VSA chat with this one, and going Pro if it works out, but have to get it working on more than just the forum home page.

Hmm... It should work fine in the navbar, I've tested it locally. My guess is there may be a mod conflict. If another mod (non-DBTech mod) renders the navbar before vBShout loads properly, vBShout may not be able to inject correctly.

Could you try disabling all non-DBTech mods temporarily and see if that works? If it does, re-enable them one-by-one until you find the culprit, then we can look into patching that mod to work correctly if possible.

Let me know how it goes :)

Thanks for the tip, didn't make any difference though. I disabled everything except vbShout, vbNavTabs, and LiveStreaming. Made sure all three of those were updated to the latest version, still have no shoutbox displaying anywhere when set to 'disabled' and the code in the navbar template. Checked on both our usual style as well as the vb default style.

I tried creating a new instance and inserting it, in case it was an issue with the default instance1, no luck. Tried inserting the code into FORUMDISPLAY template, no luck. However, inserting the code manually into FORUMHOME causes the shoutbox to appear. But so far that's the only template that it has worked on, and it pretty much has the same effect as using the auto display feature.

Oh, if you're using vBNavTabs, try adding the code to the dbtech_vbnavtabs_navbar template instead. At least I think that's what the template is named, it should be grouped under vBNavTabs Templates anyway :)
