Awards in the postbit only showing once in a topic?

I am using 3.8.6 and using

$vbactivity_postbit[medal]

for the custom placement of the awards. The awards are only showing up once for each member in a topic. Only in their first post, any additional posts doesn't show the awards unlike on this site.

That feature is not 100% supported yet, sorry. We haven't extensively testing it and let people know of it with a disclaimer that it's not fully supported yet and so it may not work as expected.

So by default, the awards and achievements only show up once per post with the version that is available for download? Is there any custom code that will allow them to show up everytime a member posts?

No, by default (using automatic placement) it shows up on every post as you can see in this thread.
