Bug Bounced email not changing bounce flag

I've just checked bounced emails DBTech-VBmail > Bounced Mail list.

I've got four bounced emails.

Check the users in user manage to see if the bounce flag had been changed and it hadn't. I've then manually run DragonByte Tech: vBMail - Bounced Mail Threshold in scheduled tasks, flag still not changed.

Am I missing something here?

This does not seem to be working correctly.

I just sent a email to our domain

Sent from my Forum email address on PC. Nothing is being collected when running the scheduled task manually.

Just sent an email directly to the bounced email address I setup, run the scheduled task, not collected the mail.

Anyone?

Have you checked the bounce threshold? By default it's set to 5 bounced emails per user.

That's not how this system works.

If your forum sends an email to an address that doesn't exist, it will return an email to your bounced mail address (assuming everything is set up correctly) with an identifier as to what email & user it came from.

Things to check:

1. vBulletin Options -> Email Options -> "Bounce Email Address" should be set to bounce@domain.com or whatever the actual address is
2. vBulletin Options -> Email Options -> "Enable '-f' Parameter" OR "SMTP Email" should be configured
3. vBulletin Options -> DragonByte Tech: vBMail - Bounced Mail Settings -> everything should be filled out.

The "Manual" option for Bounced Mail Handling Type should be selected if you wish to test the system by manually sending email to your bounced mail handler.

1) Bounced mail threshold set to 5 as default.
2) Everything is correct in Bounced email settings.
3) Enable -f parameter is set to on.

I've just checked bounced emails, now have more message bounced this morning, so the mod is collecting bounced messages, but the Bounced email flag as NOT changed for any of the members that have bounced email.

Where exactly would I see that? Bounced mail list does not show the amount.

In the bounced email all I get is this:

Mail delivery failed: returning message to sender
Message This message was created automatically by mail delivery software.

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its
recipients. This is a permanent error. The following address(es) failed:

You would need to manually sum the amount of times each email appears in the "from" column on the bounced mail list.

One particular bounced emails says:
retry timeout exceeded

Sorry, but something is not right, surely this user should be automatically flagged as bounce email?

Surely bounced messages containing:

A message that you sent could not be delivered to one or more of its

should automatically flag the users?

No. Not unless the system has received 5 or more such messages from a specified user. If you want the system to flag them after only one such message, please change the Bounced mail threshold setting to 1.
