Question Confused by groups permissions

So I get the permissions in the main usergroups. But when I try to hide a group to unregistered via the S-G permissions it still show up.

Shouldn't it be hidden?

I think this is how it's intended to work. With the "never" permission guests should not be able to access the group (no matter if it's "public" or another type), but I am pretty sure the "view group" permission does not have an impact on the groups list. 🤔

Seems odd that there are separate permissions that don't do anything. In nodes you have user groups permissions then you have node permissions. I would have expected the same with S-G's. Yes?

I had a chance to work with this some more. The permissions do work but not quite as I expected.

Example View group "no and never" stop guests from accessing the group but it's still visible in the group list.

I'm not entirely sure if there was a specific reason for why I didn't filter unviewable groups. I'll change it for the next version and we'll see if something goes wrong.
