I've modified the installer to hopefully skip this step for you. Re-download v1.1.17 and re-upload the files and let us know.

That gave me new errors...

Altered Table: administrator
Altered Table: usergroup
Altered Table: user
Populated Table: package
Populated Table: contenttype
Created Table: dbtech_classifieds_address
Created Table: dbtech_classifieds_bidincrement

Then BOOM

Database error in vBulletin 4.2.5:

If I disable the add-on and re-enable hooks the site gives a white screen. The Classifieds option appears on the ACP left column. However most of the settings gives a white screen for a display. I can get to the settings option. And it will not let me uninstall it either....

Downloaded...

Re-upload all files.
Re-import XML It makes the template edits but does not look like it is doing any database table stuff. The uninstaller just sits there and spins after it gets to:

Reverted Table: administrator
Reverted Table: usergroup

Anything else I can try?
I'll PM you access stuff in case you want to pop in as I am going to be heading home and wont be able to get back online for another 2-3 hours.

I have already alerted Mokonzi to this thread but I'll ping him again. Sorry about the delay :(

Back in the 'office' now :D

Were you trying to reinstall Classifieds again? If so had you tried uninstalling first? What happened at that point?

From the login on your site it looks like you managed to uninstall it somehow.

If it's possible I'll need to use "Execute SQL Queries" to be able to see what's left to remove from the database (if anything). It may also mean FTP access to be able to get Classifieds installed and see what's causing the issues.

This was a fresh install. And it hung as noted in my first post. It also hung when I tried to uninstall as noted in the subsequent post.

I'll get your ID access so it can run the SQL queries. As for FTP, the server does not support FTP. We had way too many hack attempts over the years and now rely solely on RSA keys for access. Either I can generate one for you or you can provide one so I can add it to the server if you need this level of access...

Edit: Your ID can now run SQL queries

I've done some digging around. I've found three table changes that shouldn't exist after uninstall. I can manually remove them if you are happy to do so.

I would suggest that you ensure you have a backup before I do so just in case. :D

After removing them you can attempt to reinstall. I've edited the latest files again to try and skip a step if there are issues. However I think the original problem might have been that the site got stuck during the install and the install was attempted again therefore creating the error you experienced.

My guess is that your big issues is trying to change a the user table. It has 250000+ entries, and we add several columns to that table. That is where it hung in the uninstall.

What are your timeout settings in in your PHP.ini settings? I suspect that the query will take a long time to process.

Don't attempt to install again until you've got a confirmation from me that I've remove the old traces from the database. We don't want any other errors. :D

The database has had the rogue Classifieds stuff pruned... :D

I noticed that changing one column of the user table (just removing it) took 44.6614s.

There are several to be installed when installing Classifieds.

Your timeout settings look to be 60 seconds... me thinks that is your issue.

It might be worth considering increasing the timeout times from 60s upward while you do this install of Classifieds. It might be the solution to the problem.

Let me know how you get on and make sure you have the very latest version downloaded. If it fails during the first install, deactivate the mod (if it's listed) and don't attempt a second install.

Keep track of what completes, and how long it takes (time if necessary). If this doesn't work, I'll see if I do anything to trace the specifics of your problem more.

:)

Matt

Well I ran the installer, it hung for a bit so I waked away. Came back to the import product page. But Classifieds is not listed in the products...

Have you refreshed the web browser? Logged out and back in again?

I run multiple computers, multiple browsers over 2 independent ISP networks, so yep :)

If you try to run ForumPath/dbtclassifieds.php it throws a DB error so, it still is not correctly installed.
