Question Download file pre-uploaded How to add as main download?

I am almost sure this is a normal feature but how can I add a hidden location of a download? Every time I try to add a main download it keeps opening a window to look for a file on my computer?? I would like to see that feature removed and just have it where I can just add the file link manually as the main download... Not a Mirror... And are Mirror links visible by non admins???

I rarely mess with the download section on my website but wanted to load it up when I get on my Christmas vacation...

When you open a file from your computer, it will save it on your server and hide the URL to the file.

There's no way to upload a file from any other location than your computer at this time - a mirror URL would require your file to be stored inside the public_html folder which is what you're wanting to avoid with vBDownloads, otherwise web sniffers can easily find all your files.

Mirror URLs are visible by anyone who can download the file.

The files I load up I add them from the server side not from my computer to the server... I want to add 100's of files but I can't because it would be way to difficult to just add them unless I re-upload them... These are files that already exist in a folder on the server!
