Hello

We seem to have an error now when adding a stream date. The error is

Warning: mysqli_real_escape_string() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in [path]/includes/class_core.php on line 1390

Also says could not find array

Then no next date is shown on my channel.

Details sent via PM are still active if you wish to check it out.

I fixed the error. It was coming up due to the change in the config file you made to mysqli

That has now gone away however it wont set the new stream date.

The account you've provided me with previously appears to no longer be active, could you re-create it or create me a new one, please?

I'll also need FTP - I'd like a chance to resolve the MySQLi issue on your server in case it affects other forums as well :)

Thanks!

Will do it tonight and PM you the details. Thanks for getting back to me.

I have now sent you a PM with all the details you require.

Just to add the message has now gone away now I have changed it back to mysql from mysqli. I found this out as it was causing issues with a few of my other mods which is when I check the file for any changes.

The only issue now is that when you add a date to both next stream and stream schedule it doesn't add it at all.

Once again thanks for looking into this.

The issue had nothing to do with MySQLi, it was the fact that your vBulletin version is ancient, just south of 4 years old, to be exact (release date Dec 25 2010).
This mod, as well as multiple other DBTech mods, was using an API function that was made available starting with vBulletin 4.1.7 (which was released just north of 3 years ago, on Oct 5 2011).

If you run into the same error message on another page, please specify what modification it is and I'll apply the hotfix to it. Otherwise, the fixes will disseminate to the latest version of our modifications when they are updated normally.

I would strongly recommend that you upgrade to at least the latest version of the 4.1.x branch if you do not want to have to deal with the navigation bar changes in vB 4.2. At the time of writing, that is version 4.1.12. This will ensure you have the latest fixes and performance enhancements for your version of vBulletin.

Noted

There are various valid reasons why we haven't however I assume that if a mod says says 4.x.x it would work on all versions. Correct me though if im wrong there.

As we stand will we have a fix for this issue?

I have already fixed the issue on your site, and I've made changes to all existing products that will fix it should you run into the same issue in other mods, but I have not gone through the process of uploading those changes as it's a very time-consuming process.

If we didn't support all versions, I wouldn't have done that - what's recommended and what's supported are two very different things :)

Thanks for clearing that up. Just tested it and its not working or have I read the above post wrong?

Hmm thats strange. Just tried it again and it says

Next Stream In: N/A

and the same on your stream that you added.

Sorry, I've been swamped over the past few days. The user account has once again vanished, could you please re-create it?

The problem is that you are using a 32-bit OS. You will be unable to use the Stream Schedule feature until you rebuild your VPS with a 64-bit OS.

Ok thanks for your time. I have taken your advice and stated the upgrade process of the server and the forums. Hopefully be less errors once I'm on the latest version.

Will rebuilding the VPS effect anything?

I think it's essentially like creating a whole new server where you'd need to back up everything and re-install it, but your host would be able to advise you further :)
