I believe these two Features might be quite usefull for a few people

Feature Request: Controllable Activity Status

Currently as of version 6.2.0 any member who switches to a shoutbox tab immediately appears as active there, even if they do not post a shout.

Requesting feature be added to manually control "actions" required to appear active, either globally or by usergroup. Main options would be along the lines of:

Always Active: Any user who has the shoutbox pulled up on a webpage is marked as active.
Watching Active: Any user who clicks on a shoutbox tab appears as active in that tab. (aka current setting)
Legacy Active: User must post a shout in a tab before appearing active in it, but users getting automatic notices will also appear active in main shoutbox tab. (aka <6.2.0 setting)
Shouting Active: User must post a shout in a tab before appearing active in it. (aka <6.2.0 setting, without automatic notice active)

Feature Request: Bandwidth Savings

Allow users to set custom shoutbox refresh times in UserCP > default forum setting in AdminCP.

This feature would be beneficial for users with bandwidth restrictions, slow computers, mobile device or mobile data users, etc.

Could also enable refresh rate settings based on usergroup, possibly saving server load for forums allowing unregistered users to see the shoutbox.

if these are not possible it would be appreciated if I could get a template edit or something to get the old active users setting back, the inability to lurk certain rooms without being noticed has been annoying for some of my moderators.

We will be implementing the first two suggestions in the form of an "Invisible" toggle (Lite) and a per-instance setting for what actions trigger someone to be flagged as Active (Pro) in v6.2.1, currently scheduled to be released tomorrow.

The new per-instance option will display options like "Switching tabs", "Toggling shout styles", etc - one setting for each possible trigger. Shouting will always trigger someone as active, unless they are Invisible (in which case no action will trigger them as active).

We will however not be reintroducing the ability for automatic notices to trigger someone showing up as active, as that is more difficult to achieve with the new activity tracking system.

As a result, this thread will be flagged as Implemented. You may want to re-post the other feature request as a separate thread - for the record, this is why we prefer 1 thread per feature request :)

Thank you for your suggestions, as always we appreciate it :)

If you have a few minutes we would appreciate it if you would create a review in our new review system.
