I am getting intermittent notifications of quotes in shoutbox on my second instance. I should have no notifications displaying in this particular instance...or at least that's how I intended.

Although it appears other times...I can make it do it every time by editing a chat and changing my display color.

It's sadly not possible to fix 100% without breaking core functionality. Sadly I have eliminated funkiness as much as I can :(

not sure if it helps here is a screen shot...the notifications at bottom are popping in and out.

Can there be a totally disable notifications setting per instance (which might make it go away)?

So Fillip H. do you feel the vbShout 6 is always going to be somewhat buggy then? (I've never seen you pull out the "Wont Fix" thread prefix before.) I didn't notice as many problems with vbshout 5. Is the bugginess a function of using jquery versus whatever you were using before?

I'm not trying to pile on your work load...just pointing things out that aren't working quite right. Hopefully you don't cringe every time you see me log on?

By notifications I presumed you meant the tabs highlighting.

I haven't received any other reports of those notifications behaving oddly, I'll check it out on my local and if not, on your forum.

vBShout v6 is (will be) less buggy than 5.4. is :)

nope not a tab issue... My second instance has all notifications turned off. But when I edit or change my font color, a few notifications show up on the box at the bottom. Nothing like that happens in my main instance that has notifications turned on.

Your CR Lounge instance, you mean?

I am unable to replicate this issue on your site, if that's the correct instance.

I tried changing every option as well as shouting, and I am still unable to replicate this issue on your site :(

I'm seeing if I can reproduce today. So far it isn't doing it (which is good I guess).

Something whacky happened to my site last night. The site was completely down, after disabling all hooks I was able to get the site and admincp to load again. Then when I re-enabled hooks it went down again. I ended up disabling just vbshout and the site was up again. Finally I replaced all vbshout files and re-installed the xml and the site was working again. So not sure what caused that? But something with vbshout wasn't agreeing with everything else.

I have pretty much no chance of giving any form of useful reply to that D:

I'll keep this topic open in case you can find a way to reliably reproduce it :)

lol... we'll get all the bugs out eventually. I know it is tough to fix things that can't be reproduced. At least you get to deal with (mostly) computer literate members...

I do appreciate all of your help and effort to get the bugs ironed out.
