I have had to stop using the mobile style on this site because dbtech mods do not function in it since vb 4.1.12

On my iPhone I prefer the mobile style but when @ mentions dont show and it lacks other dbtech mods that I love I have had to stop using the mobile style.

Not only to benefit this site it would be nice to have those features when I upgrade to vb4 on my site :)

Not at the moment, it's not at the top of our priorities list to be honest.

That being said i'll tag the coders in here to have a look at the link they provided and see if they think they could make some simple adjustments to make mods more mobile friendly.

AFAIK the navbar template on the mobile style is not like the regular navbar template at all. So I don't know if it is possible to have vBNavTabs use a navbar on the mobile style, as it is not present at all. :(

I doubt vBSlider would work in a mobile theme, and I'm not sure you would want it to necessarily, as the main point of a mobile theme is to have it be lightweight. Loading in XX images on the home page isn't going to help that. But, if there is demand out there for it, I will look into it.

As far as vBEditorTabs, its currently dependent on CKEditor, which to the best of my knowledge, isn't used on the mobile theme. I could be wrong on that...?

vBAnalytics wouldn't have much function, either. The graph is javascript and I don't know how mobile friendly the graph could get. I believe it should track data the same as that's all done in hooks (unless mobile style doesn't call those hooks).

I've identified the issue with the mobile style and AUT, and it'll be fixed in the next version :)

To my knowledge, none of those mods break anything when viewing the forum with the mobile style.

vBCredits should be mobile-friendly, because most of its work happens internally anyway.

I am not really bothering making vBArcade mobile-friendly, because all of the games are in flash, and the majority of mobile platforms won't support it anyhow....

Switch to the mobile style and have a look.
No shoutbox or likes in it.
That's correct, there are no mobile versions of those modifications available.

I don't believe smartphones could reliably handle a shoutbox, and I'm not sure how they would handle the AJAX functionality of the APTL mod either.

We will fix issues like the MENTION tag disappearing in the mobile style, but I don't believe mobile style compatible mods are something we're currently planning to do.

Just to clarify - where practical we will make our mod mobile compatible (e.g advanced user tagging should now support tagging on mobile devices) but many of our mods are not suited to a mobile environment - e.g shoutbox, heavily AJAX based mods etc. Mobile browsing is still a million miles away from Desktop OS browsing in terms of functionality, speed, stability etc.

Cosmic and Fillip H.

Using the full site version on my iPhone the likes system works fine. And the shoutbox works alright. It just needs a couple changes. With some creative thinking it could be done really well. Maybe shoutbox 6.0 could be a mobile style inclusion. I have faith in you Fillip H..

Also I just got an email from dbtech about having a quote. So I clicked the link and it took me to the quote tab in my profile in the mobile style. But because of functionality loss in the mobile style it was empty. It would be great to have those tabs added to the mobile style.
