Just purchased an installed Dragonbyte SEO mod, but after installation forum links broken and i didn't see any plessant URL rewrites other than Vb4.2.x default URL's.

1, When i click any thread, post, forum links then it's lead to 404 page
2, URL rewrite isn't working at all
3, Sitemap generated for /dbseositemap.php , this URL must be generic other than debseo (branded) URL
4, 301 URL Rewrite not working ( not redirecting to www )

Can anyone fix this issue for me?

It sounds like you may have forgotten to apply the .htaccess edits, or that you're running a web server other than Apache. Please confirm that you are running Apache and have edited the htaccess file, or that you have added rewrite rules for whatever other web server you may be running.

Why? There's no reason for that. It's simply an index file, designed to tell search engines of your sitemaps. The file name is 100% irrelevant.

Hi,
Appreciate your prompt response.

1, No, i have copied your .htaccess file and changed permission 777, still i'm having same issue.
2, That's correct! but you can give sitemap URL like sitemap.xml instead of dbseositemap.php, if someone doesn't add sitemap URL within robots.txt then it's gonna index with Google search.

Regarding my forum issue, is there any technical assistance to fix this issue ?

Please PM me with an FTP and AdminCP account so that I can look into this further.

That's not entirely correct, sorry. First of all, search engines will have no way of finding the file via crawling since there's no links to it anywhere on your site. Secondly, if they did manage to crawl it, all they would find is the sitemap...which you want them to index in the first place :)

I just checked Vb sitemap structure, you were right.

This issue should now be resolved on your forum. If you come across any further issues, please let me know :)

Hi,
Thanks, SEF URL working fine,

1, but still there are some forums redirecting not found page. Eg: சந்தைப்படுத்தல் , could you please fix this issue permanently to move on ?

2, could you please check 301 redirection ? i need my forum redirect without to www ( Eg: http://domain.com to http://www.domain.com )

3, How to increase # of characters from URL ?
Eg: /கல்வி-மற்றும்-வழ/வழிகாட்டி/தொழில்நுட்பம்/
should be : கல்வி-மற்றும்-வழிகாட்டல்/வழிகாட்டி/தொழில்நுட்பம்/
I need this URL /

4, Any special discount for Brand removal ?

I hope i will receive prompt support for this issue.

I don't understand what you are asking and the example does not help me understand
Bad URL structure domain.com/வர்த்தகம்-மற்று&/முதலீட்டாளர்/முதலீட்டு-நிறுவ&/
Correct URL structure : domain.com/வர்த்தகம்-மற்றும்/முதலீட்டாளர்/முதலீட்டு-நிறுவனங்கள்/

My Suggestion:
Basically we need to increase number of phrase / characters in URL or we need to tweak htacess to get exact forum names instead of breaking right keywords in this URL's, hope it clears. I would really appreciate if you can fix this quick as possible.

We have no discounts for the Branding Free license available at this time, sorry
Ok, thanks.

I have investigated the one thread on your forum and I am unable to detect any truncating of the thread title. They are both identical.

If I'm misunderstanding you, please use words to describe the issue in detail. I do not speak Tamil, and reading your language is very difficult for me as a result. Sorry :(

Update: I discovered the issue with forum URLs being truncated. This appears to be an issue in the way vB handles the "non-HTML forum URLs". I have corrected the issue on your site.

Hi,
Thank you so much, you already fixed my issues! planing to buy branding free very soon. wish you all the very best for DBT.

I can't explain why, but for some reason your "Forum URL" appears to be overridden somewhere, to the point of the redirect not working.

I have worked around this by enabling a .htaccess rewrite (which is better for performance anyway).

I can confirm now 301 redirection is working fine, Even i didn't receive such fast and professional support from other paid VB mod owners, Db tech, simply amazing , Thanks guys :)
