Question need help with setup

since I moved to vps back, I have been having load issues. So, I thought of installing vb opitimze. I have probs though

I am using managed vps with WHM + cPanel + eAccelerator
when I select eAccelerator I get the msg:

vB Optimise: You have selected a cache method that vB Optimise has detected you cannot use, this may be because the extension required is either not installed or configured correctly on your server. Please contact your system administrator or hosting provider for more information.

can u help me what can I do ? To give my host the wiki document, the eaccelerator.net is not opening up

I need desperate help, if the add-on works great for me, I might consider getting paid version too in future

That's not something we're able to assist with unfortunately, it means eAccelerator cannot retain cache data in memory (possibly due to the way Apache runs). You'll need to seek assistance from your host

The script only does a check to see if the cache operator is working correctly - it in no way modifies or does anything at that point.

The script is letting you know your caching is NOT working and so it cannot do anything. Let your host know that checks to test the cache is working correctly show it is not functioning.

hi Cosmic, I contacted my host with your mentioned points and here's the response from them

We have reinstalled those programs (eAccelerator, file cache , disk cache and mem cache ) and if you put in php test code you will see system is showing them. Their is not much we can do other than reinstalling the plugin when it is successfully detected and recognized by PHP.

your developer has not mentioned eaccelerator. Ask him to clarify what exactly is apparently not working. Ask him ti list the scripts dependancies then we can assist you better.

There's really nothing we can clarify beyond what I said in my original post, sadly

You may need to turn on and use the Filecache function if your host is unable to get eAccelerator working.
