Question New AWS API

If you've set up the HTTPS topic/endpoint/whatever Amazon calls it for both Bounce and Complaint, I don't believe you need the Automated Bounced Email Handler.

Unsubscribe Email Handler I'm unsure about. I don't know if clicking the "This email is from a mailing list. Unsubscribe now." link in your email client is what Amazon considers a "Complaint", or if that's someone reporting the email as spam.

Email is a real problem. People subscribe via email then they complain when they get it. I've already had a warning from AWS.

I'm hoping I can reduce bounces with this.

You could also try the email validation feature in this addon :) that’ll clean out your mailing list.

That is my plan, I'm just nervous. I don't want to get booted off AWS. I already messed up once ;(
The validation feature does not actually send any emails. If you’re really concerned, back up your AWS credentials and revert to your host’s SMTP details in the email options.

Good to know. I turned it on last night. in 12 hours not much activity. I'm assuming it runs in the background and does batches?
