Question Permissions Questions

For some reason my members are not able to edit/delete their posts even though my settings allow them to and a permissions analysis verifies they should be able to.

Edit/Delete and such should be next to 'Report'

I may be missing something but seems like he should get those edit/delete links in the post?

On a side note, whats the difference between 'Edit own message' & 'Edit own Discussion'? I assume edit discussion lets you edit the whole thread?

You have to set the time for editing/deleting to Unlimited or at least a value greater than 0.

Message is like a forum post and discussion is like a forum thread.

Without edit discussion permission you cannot edit the title for example.

P.S. edit time of 0 seems to be the default value on new installations. Maybe this can be changed..

I’ll look into changing the default to match the time limit on editing posts

Thank you for reporting this issue, it has now been resolved. We are aiming to include any changes that have been made in a future release (2.2.2).

Change log:

Fix: "Time limit on editing own messages" default permission was set incorrectly
