I just started a group discussion at my site. Guess what, I'm not automatically subscribed to it, and neither will anyone who makes a reply, either. Subscribing has to be done manually by selecting the drop-down menu Discussion Tools > Subscribe to This Discussion.
Since vBulletin didn't make any Admin options for Default Thread Subscription for groups the way they did for the forum, and no one is ever automatically subscribed to group discussions, it would go a long way to allow folks to tag each other in group discussions to make sure others see it.
Please consider this.
