How do we turn on the Thanks / Like integration?

If you're running v3 Beta then it's enabled by default

I am but I do not see it in the Gallery.

Edit: I seem to be missing the editor as well.
I will re-download in about an hour and try it again.

It's only on the View Image page, to make that clear

bc you are admin and not see it on your own posts (photos) . maybe its a option for it in post thanks ... if you have a testuser account you see them. i have same as you ...
