DragonByte Technologies is proud to release a public Backer Beta of our freshly revamped Twitch Streaming Suite modification!
Previously known as Twitch.tv Integration, this version makes several improvements and enhancements that helps improve your visitor's experience when watching live streams. Most notably, live streams can now be viewed directly on your forum. This means that adding new channels to your directory won't detract visitors from your site, rather keeping them on your forum.
The mod now features an optional integration with DragonByte's vBShout product. If enabled, and vBShout is installed, a new shoutbox instance will be created on a per-channel basis. Your users will be able to chat with other people watching the same live stream on the same page.
Of course, we have also integrated the modification with Twitch's own chat system. Seamlessly displayed next to the stream video, you and your members will be able to chat to the rest of the live stream's viewers while viewing the video and communicating with your forum's members in the vBShout shoutbox.
We have added subscription features to the modification as well, allowing users to receive notifications when the forum detects a channel goes live. This can be used in conjunction with Twitch's own "Follow" system, or as an alternative if a member does not wish to create a Twitch.tv account. Users can choose to receive any combination of Forum Notification, PM Notification and/or Email Notification when a channel goes live.
As mentioned previously, the mod is now available for download for people that enter our Backer Beta program. The cost is $40 for a Lifetime licence. When the mod exits Beta, the cost will increase to $50 for a Lifetime licence, so this is your chance to not only show your support but also score yourself a nice discount on the final product!
