Bug User Tag List Doesn't Appear in Threads

Hi,

I installed the modification and everything runs perfectly, except the user tag list doesn't appear in any threads.

This occurs when:

- (Pro) Enable Tagged Users List is set to "Yes"
- (Pro) Tag List Position is set to either "Above Posts" or "Below Posts"
- All forums have permissions checked for "Thread Tags"
- My usergroup is not an excluded usergroup.

This issue occurs on both the default vBulletin skin and our custom skins.

Are you sure that $template_hook[postbit_start] and/or $template_hook[postbit_end] appears in your postbit(_legacy) templates?

Yes, both $template_hook[postbit_start] and $template_hook[postbit_end] are in both postbit and postbit_legacy.

I also see the tag_box code in the showthread template (although maybe this code is for the default vbulletin thread tagging?).

Oh wait, my bad - for after posts it's $template_hook[showthread_after_activeusers], for before posts it latches on to the $poll variable. Check those instead D:

Yes, I will want it displayed after posts.

$template_hook[showthread_after_activeusers] is only in my showthread templates, and not anywhere in postbit & postbit_legacy. Where should I add that code in those two postbit templates?

It should be in the showthread template.

Then I am indeed fresh out of ideas, could you please PM me with an FTP account and a user account for your site? If so, I should be able to figure out what's been gumming up the works

Hi Fillip H. - just a follow-up to my PM - how did you try to edit my files? Through the FTP? I wasn't clear on what you were doing that wasn't saving.

Should I try to CHMOD any files/directories differently maybe?

I'll talk to my server admin about any unique caching settings on the site. Again, everything else works besides user thread tagging, and what does work is awesome. Thanks again!!

I tried manually editing the /dbtech/usertag/hooks/showthread_complete.php file as that's the file that controls the missing functionality.

I also tried directly editing the plugin via the Plugin Manager, nothing happened there either.

I tried disabling vB Optimise, that didn't help.

I doubt chmod would help in this case :S

No, vB templates can't parse PHP code in that manner.

OK, I was troubleshooting this today by disabling & enabling products I've installed one by one, and noticed that the User Tag List in threads disappears when the vBulletin API (version 1.2) product is enabled.

It appears in threads fine when the API product is not installed or disabled. As you probably know, the API allows for vBulletin 3.8 and 4.x boards to have iPhone/iPad & android apps..

This has already been fixed in the latest version, please update to the latest version of AUT

Nope, user tag list still doesn't appear in threads on vBulletin 3.87 unless the API product is disabled.

I upgraded AUT to 2.05 and the vBulletin mobile API product to 1.41, both of which are the latest versions.

This is a bug in the vBulletin Mobile API for vBulletin 3.8.x.
