Bug UserGroups Allowed To See TAB.

I am in quick testing mode beta 1.0.0

I have not selected the UserGroups Allowed To See TAB and I can see them and users can see the tabs.


In regards to the three default tabs

If no boxes are ticked, all usergroups will be able to see the tab, unless selected in option below.

That is laid out in the add /edit tabs page

My bad I need to slow down... Maybe have the Administrators tick by default - UserGroups Allowed To See TAB

Is this to cover if a member belongs to more than one user group...wonder why have both.
It most likely more coding but maybe only is needed.
When using UserGroups Allowed To See TAB --> it seems to take care of the other but again I am in just quick testing mode.

I thought about that, at least for the three default tabs.

With the option to allow usergroups, or not allow usergroups, makes it easier on forums with large usergroups. So if you have lets say 25 UG, and only want 3 to not see the tabs, you would check those in UserGroups NOT Allowed To See TAB.

I updated the product to only show the default tabs to admins.

Therefore the one does take care of the other and so need to say Yes to one and No to the other to cover all bases. correct?

Well to a degree, if you choose Admin in UserGroups Allowed To See TAB, they will be the only usergroup, allowed to see the tab, dropdown, sub-link.

If you choose Banned Users in UserGroups NOT Allowed To See TAB, all other usergroups will be able to see the tab.

So if you choose all the groups you wish to see the items, in UserGroups Allowed To See TAB, any you did not choose will not see it.

UserGroups NOT Allowed To See TAB, is there just to make it easier, if you have only a couple of groups you wish not to see the items.

Select Allowed or Not Allowed
and leave the other setting alone.

Yeah, or to be sure, which ever groups you choose to see the items, choose the other groups to not see the items.

It is there to make it easier for admins with alot of usergroups.
