VAT issue

Hi guys,

I just went to buy vbSEO but noticed you are charging VAT. I am in Australia and do not pay VAT when buying goods or services from the UK.

Can you address issue this please.

Is your PayPal account registered in a EU country? PayPal might be charging you VAT incorrectly but I'll need a bit more information so I can determine why that is.

My Paypal accounts are registered in Australia, however I didn't even get to that stage of the process. After adding DBSEO to my basket, when I go to checkout, it shows VAT at +US $19.99 - this is before I click Proceed to Checkout

That might be a GeoIP error then, as we use this to check someone's IP whether VAT is required. I've edited your account to flag it permanently to be tax exempt, so you should no longer see this notice nor should it appear in PayPal.

Thanks. That worked. Purchase completed. For what it's worth, I looked up my IP on this site and it says I am in Australia.

Yeah I checked your post IPs as well and there shouldn't be any problems, it's very strange. I'll investigate further and see if I can find any reason why this was happening

I'm having the same problem, also based in Australia but the store wants to charge me VAT. I also sent a message directly via the contact form before spotting this thread.
