Hi DBTech,
In regards to the vbDonate mod for vBull 5.1.x
So i was looking at the mod both the lite package and pro package and looking through it's features.
I was wondering if what i'm asking is possible in some way as it looks like the mod currently doesn't support this.
Or perhaps if this is something that can be taken in future updates.
We as a community rely as many others on donations.
However a community has multiple pools where the money goes towards. (Servers, Site, Raffles,etc...)
For this purpose it would be nice for donators to donate towards a goal.
Sort of like a humble bundle deal where you can slide towards what cause you want your money to go too.
But in this case i think a form would do the trick as well.
just before you redirect them to paypal you show a form where the user sees the pools set and a field to select predifined or custom values.
So in short:
Admin section
Modification on the donation bar settings perhaps rename this to 'Donation Pools Settings'
Where one can add or remove pools.
And under each pool allow activation or not , monthly or yearly goal, total amount, Pool name ex. Servers
Constribution page
Show all pools and each with the total and constributed amount.
With the constribution button linking to a form to fill in.
Extra page
Showing all the pools and allowing users to modify the amounts predefined or custom to each pool they are willing to place their money towards.
And at the end of the form place a submit button which totals the form and brings you to paypal.
Transaction Log
Showing the username + pool name + amount & date/time
Also exportable not needed to export each pool independent as this can be achieved in excel leave some work to the financial admin
Database side
Add an extra column to the donaters table where the form is getting written to with each pool name.
And modification to the Bar Settings table to allow multiple Bar[Pool] Settings
The rest of the options should be able to run untouched unless you want to divide it even more according to each donation pool
But i would doubt this would be cost beneficial to code.
This could also be a pro only feature.
Where Lite gets 1 big pool & Pro allows for custom pools *hint* *hint*
Would this be plausible and possible in future releases?
What are your thoughts on this as coders?
