vbShout Pro General + Licensing questions

Hi,
I like the vbshout pro 4.1.1 demo, so befoe I buy I have few questions to ask..

1 - What is the licensing structure? if I buy vbshout pro now for US$ 35, do I need to repay same amount every year?

2 - How friendly is vbshoutbox pro from the DB queries & CPU usage prespective? because I have a busy forum with lots of teens abusing shoutbox most of the time <laugh> I am on a dedicated server though but still I want to keep my forum faster. Do it only make the queries when someone post a shout? (I think there was something like that in the old inferno's shoutbox)

3 - I am noticing some light flicking in the firefox 3.6 on refreshing..???

4 - How many shouts can be made sticky?

There would be a maintenance fee to continue to receive Priority support and new versions.

The "Only make a query when someone posts" is indeed a feature of this Shoutbox as well
It's generally very light on resources, I haven't had any complaints about its load from anybody yet.
Should the Shoutbox cause problems for your site, I'd offer to attempt to fix it on your site (free, of course) and also help you adjust the settings so that the load is more than manageable

On this site? Because this was fixed in the latest version

4 - How many shouts can be made sticky?

It's not a case of making a Shout sticky, the Sticky is the same as the "Notice" feature you remember from the old Inferno Shoutbox

I'm not 100% clear on the amount in the renewal fee, but it is indeed correct that after a year, you'll be able to run the version you would be running at that time for as long as you want.
It's similar to vBulletin's old licence structure, you could say.

I run Firefox 3.6 myself and I don't notice this at all - if it's on your own site, check that it says

in the source code, and not
<span id="dbtech_shoutbox_content">

HTML no, BBCode yes. I believe it'll follow the BBCode rules found in the Shoutbox Settings group.
