I had issues uploading previously with an install outside of the forum directory. I moved the install back to the forum directory and the uploads went fine.

The problem is the new uploads are not showing in the downloads list or in the sidebar recent files.

I can go directly to the download by using the id, or the link created through the "Post To Thread" option. I can also see the downloads correctly referenced in the database with the correct category but when I go to view that category on the site it does not show the new uploads. I tried the repair cache numerous times but for some reason they will still not show.

Any ideas?

The sidebar changes dynamically based on what category you are in, though on the "vBDownloads Home" (i.e. no ?categoryid= in the URL) it should show downloads from all categories.

That being said, it will not display downloads from categories your usergroup does not have "Can View" permissions for.

Can you confirm that neither of these are the cause?

Yes, I can confirm neither of these are the issue. New downloads don't show in sidebar "Recent Files" in their specific category nor the main page. Was viewing as admin and admin has "Can View" options for all categories. I can also see previously uploaded files under these same respective categories just not the new ones.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

I'll also use this information to debug the DBSEO issues that you've yet to respond to. If possible, access to phpMyAdmin will speed up the process of debugging those issues.

Not sure how I missed this previously but the uploads in question were saved in the db as moderated. As soon as I changed that they showed up just fine.

Is there a setting I'm missing (that I was using before) that would allow certain usergroups (like admins) from having their uploads moderated even though the category they are uploading into is selected for moderation? Seems I didn't have this issue before.

Unfortunately there's no such option at this time, I'll look into it for the next update (which will contain DBSEO integration) :)
