Bug Cannot donate to users with unusual symbols in username?

When trying to donate to someone who's username startes with ‎« and ends with », it says Invalid username or something.

This is confirmed, as I've tried fixing it in the past with no success.

It has something to do with AJAX warping special characters for some reason. I can trace it down to the exact line where it happens, but have been unable to fix it thus far.

So unfortunately, no quick fix yet.
