Question How to handle refunds?

Sorry for the barrage of questions today!

Can you confirm if the eCommerce add-on has refund capabilities (prior to order being sent and post-order being sent)? Is there a document that covers how to handle these scenarios?

Refunds are pretty easy - if you provide a full refund, any licenses awarded will automatically be revoked (soft-deleted with a deletion notice saying "Order #X reversed / refunded.")

As for physical items, that would depend on how you send the items, eCommerce does not integrate with any shipping service so it's 100% on you to ensure the item is sent back.

All refunds must be processed on the payment processor's site, you cannot initiate a refund within eCommerce.
 
For physical items, can you define the customer experience scenario on full vs partial payment? Do they see a partial or full refund from their side next to their purchase or does it still show the order as-is?

Partial refunds are not indicated anywhere as partial refunds are dropped by the payment handler in XF before it even touches my code.
