Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorised user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

Thank you for helping us debug our products and allowing us to assist you, we appreciate it :D

I already PM'd you requested info.

Please have patience, I am currently making sure I have everything ready for tomorrow's release day.

If I don't have time to look into it tonight (it's currently approaching midnight), I'll look into it tomorrow :)

Tomorrow's release day? What do you mean? I paid for branding removal and pro version thinking it was a working/finished product. I will leave credentials for you on but please keep me updated.

Every Monday, we release updates to our products (not all of them, of course :p) and send out mailing lists, etc. It's a very time-consuming process, taking several hours.

All vBulletin 5 versions are marked as Alpha, because of the fact that vBulletin 5 itself is currently undergoing major rework which interferes with our modifications. They are performing these changes because of feedback from customers.

Add this to the fact that the vast majority of our customers are using vB3/vB4, our vB5 versions will probably remain in Alpha status until such a time as the base product is not still undergoing major changes.

We also encourage all our users to try out the Lite versions to ensure they function on a person's specific forum & server setup.

Thanks for the update. I will let you look over it, if it cannot be fixed I would like to request a refund, however this is something I want for my forum so let me know how any debugging goes, if this could get resolved would like a few other mods you have on vb5, if they actually work I would like to use, one at a time though.

Please remain patient, I will post back when I have updates for you.

Thank you for your patience and understanding :)

I waited too long Fillip H. was really excited about having this on my forum. Unfortunately it does not work and you have not updated me. I need to move on with my forum rather than keep waiting/stalling. Please refund my money since a fix was not provided.

Hello,

We have provided you with several updates about the status of your issue - three in a 24 hour period. You were informed we would be looking at the issue some time today if we were unable to get to it yesterday. We try to resolve all issues within a reasonable time period; most people consider under two days to be a reasonable time period. You gave us less than a full working day.

We are unable to assist you with your issue while you have a PayPal dispute open. Once the dispute is resolved we will be able to resume trying to resolve this issue for you. Unfortunately us not fixing an issue within 24 hours is not valid grounds for a refund under our Terms and Conditions, not under the Sale of Goods Act.

If we are unable to fix the issue for you, we will provide you with a refund. We require a reasonable amount of time to investigate and resolve issues, though. Depending on the nature of the issue, this can take up to a week. We are happy to examine the issue on your server today if the PayPal dispute is removed within the next hour.

Regards,

It is 9 pm where you all are at. I felt I gave enough time. You all said today, the way is already pretty much over on your end.

While we are based in the UK, the majority of our clients are US based. As such we tend to work closer to a PST timezone than GMT. Most people, including myself, would argue that less than a full working day is not enough time.

I will simply close the dispute once issue is resolved as I mentioned there.

That is acceptable, Fillip H. will examine your issue in the next several hours. Please note however that using PayPal disputes in this manner can adversely affect small companies such as ourselves, and we reserve the right to refuse service to people who abuse the PayPal dispute function.

Regards

heredia21 The AdminCP and FTP details you provided me with previously are no longer valid. Could you please provide me with updated account information so that I can proceed?

I understand, yes we are both trying to protect ourselves but if the issue gets resolved I have no problems whatsoever closing the dispute so you may receive your funds as I appreciate hard work and plan on getting more mods from you all. Just need to try to get this one to work first.

I just reinstalled the mod on your forum and I am unable to replicate any of the issues you describe in this thread.

Please ensure you have not turned off your private messaging system and that you've not opted out of emails from administrators or other members.
