Bug Mochi feed blocked

This afternoon the hosting company has added the ipadresses to the whitelist ( they cannot add url's), but unfortunately it is still not working.

So maybe I need to forget the Mochi stuff and add only games which will work within vbArcade including scoring as know none of them does.

Can you try downloading a mochi zip and importing it with the upload function instead? that does not use the feed to install the game (since everything is in the zip). I am not sure that will allow them to work when scoring though, since its more network communications, but it should get you to at least a playable state with them. make sure you use the crossdomain.xml included with the beta first.

Also tried that, and score is not saving.

I've removed all the games now and try to start all over again.

Do you have one game for me which will save a score without any communication with mochi ?

All mochi games communicate directly to mochi, who then relays the infomation back to your site.

So, I think that is the best you can get with mochi games unfortunately. A lot of mochi games dont even support scoring, so downloading/uploading those would be the same effect for you.

Yeah most of mochi games don't have score or returning time
Where can we find some games as on this site like Snake, Simon, Breakout etc that actually return a score with points instead of points of nothing
I think that kind of games are more interesting because it can make a lil competition between site members and maybe help the activity on the site a lil

Ozzy47 can help you find some ibrproarcade games that you can upload into your vbarcade.

vbarcade actually has a backup timer score method for games that dont or cant support scoring, so you could switch all mochi games to use this once the game editor is in an upcoming beta. Again, certainly not ideal, but better than nothing when your host is blocking this kind of thing.

Anyway, I will archive this thread in the near future; sorry could not get it working.

This is also not working, Quix won't save the score as well, after submitting the score a strange window ( complete forum ) comes in the screen and it's falling back to the timer score method a game player won't like that, he or she wants to beat others with scores and not with how much time he or she spent on a game.

It means for me vbArcade can only be used if Mochi is working, hopefully my hosting company can fix this...., one question about the communication between vbarcade and mochi.....

Does the database also connects to Mochi ? In that case I'll need my hosting company to check this server also for the whitelist as my database server is not on the same server as my forum.

If the game was using the timer as the score, then that was not a score-supported game in the first place. If you upload mochi games that should have supported scores, you can turn off the scoring in an upcoming beta with the game editor, so that you have something to work with (even though it is less than ideal).

As I said, when you play a mochi game, the game itself communicates with mochimedia.com, and then mochimedia.com communicates back to your server. Your own server does not send network requests to itself, so whitelisting that is not needed.

As for your ibproarcade games, please post followups in the thread you had, so i can close this one
