just starting trying this one out.

right offhand ive noticed, the hover box automatically hides the lower content??

this should be scroll bar on there.....i tried applying overflow:scroll a few places but didnt see a change....

also, i noticed it does not work globally or if avatars are hovered.....it would be a good improvement to allow the hover tool to work on all those elements. Any avatars or username links sitewide. Like glenn vergara's version for vb5 is a perfection..im curious how hard those improves would be

actually i think i found the code finally......

but now i am seeing another problem which i do not think i can fix....

the hover tool disappears while the mouse is still active on it....possible to change that? do not want to rely on the timer cutoff setting for display...it seems you have it set to timer after the USERNAME is no longer hovered, when instead it should be the hover element itself.

fyi, i also had to change the statistics width for them to display properly



so basically these few things:

1. how to make global effect>> avatar or username link hover, pull up the tool anywhere on the forum

2. how to make so the hover tool does not disappear while members are active on it...(rather than the username link)

and couple other i noticed.....
3. if you click in postbit username link....it pulls up an action menu with "email user" as an option if it is allowed, which is missing from the hover tool.

and this one pretty annoying>>
4. the hover box positions itself under the username link hovered on....regardless of screen position...instead of in the middle of the screen where it can be easily read without multiple page scrolls

Unfortunately that is not possible at this time, sorry

I'm not able to replicate this issue at the moment, are you on a very small resolution or something?

This mod isn't a full replacement for the user menu, it's meant to display advanced statistics the hover menu does not contain.

This is currently working as intended, as the hover box is tied to the mouse's position over the user name.

hi,
i think this is a good and handy mod, but can be coded better in a couple key ways...

1. i can confirm at least, for whatever reason, the main page and private message hover is working now

2. in this i refer to its design actually.....the settings coded for it....says the member must hover over the "username" or else the timer kicks on...this does not account for the user being active in the pop up...
well...in this case it makes more sense because of the scrollbars that i added...but they were needed is in part of this point...in order to see all of the content and keep within the page....
i am not on such small resolution btw, but it needs a code added to allow hover over BOTH POPUP AND USERNAME ...rather than username only..

3. ok well enough...the 2 do not go together tho so i had to hide the click menu....i get your meaning and can live without some of those links....you might consider adding an "ignore" link in there tho.....similar to TAZ i think it was?

4. i think you may have misunderstood this point....
i understand it is tied to the cursor on username, but it always pops up in a down position....
for example, if the username is at the bottom of the screen and hovered, it still pops in the down position..
the user must scroll to see, then again scroll(the bars i made) to read and see all the info at which time, very easily the timer can pop off and go away in the middle of user actions etc.....that is bad you know what i mean?

i can give you a good example, perhaps the code can help you and understand...

it gives a popup for forum list option...
if the popup is at bottom, it will pop it upward so you can read without scrolling
if it is at the top of users screen, it will pop downward like your profile hover mod....


i think some of that can be simple enough and a very good tool people will like...its just a little rough in those ways i think users will find strange that needs to be fixed....(or like glenns vb5 profile hover mod for another example)
