When DBSEO is installed, post links do not work frequently. If I toggle DBSEO off, the post links work. It appears this relates to the number of posts per page a user us set up with. I've mentioned this before but perhaps didn't explain it clearly enough.
See post 229 in this thread. [Jungian Cognitive Functions] Ni - What the hell is it? - Page 3
I just inserted a link to post #208 of the same thread.
When I use my own ID which is set up for 100 posts per page, clicking on the link to post #208 works perfectly fine. Now when I log on with another ID that is set up for 10 posts per page, clicking on that link doesn't take me to post #208. It takes me to the top of page 3 - showing post #21.
Then, I turned SEO off. I inserted a link to post #213 into post #308. The link works perfectly fine with both accounts - the one set up for 10 posts per page and the one with 100 posts per page.
The forum members have been complaining about this for quite a long time and I've narrowed it down to the SEO plugin. The problem happens when it is installed and doesn't happen when it is disabled. It's a real problem because what it means is the users can't ever trust post links to work which is a pretty significant piece of functionality in VBulletin.
