Question Problems after screwing up the install

So I tried to install 1.2.4 on a 2.1 forum.
Of course I got the error reported in another thread here because 1.2.4 is incompatible with XF 2.1.
So I uploaded 1.5.1 thinking that doing that and refreshing the addons page would show me 1.5.1 to install, but it didn't. Still 1.2.4.
So I hit install anyway. Crashed with

So I FTPd in and deleted all the eCommerce files off the server.
Then I couldn't enter the admin at all with a website unavailable type error.
So I uploaded the 1.5.1 files again and rebuilt master data.
Still only see 1.2.4 installable.
What do I do, now, please?

This looks like your internal_data folder is not writable. Please make sure you chmod -R 0777 /home/sites/m2n/public_html/community/internal_data/ then try again.

Also, on XenForo 2.1, please use the archive installer button rather than manual file uploads.

Thanks for the reply.
I ran the chmod as instructed. Before I could install from the archive, it also gave me a list of other folders and a single php script to also make writable, so I ran
chmod -R 0777 /home/sites/m2n/public_html/community/js/
chmod -R 0777 /home/sites/m2n/public_html/community/src/addons
chmod -R 0777 /home/sites/m2n/public_html/community/styles/
chmod -R 0777 /home/sites/m2n/public_html/community/src/XF/Repository/AddOn.php
I appreciate the last line is redundant, but I'm wondering whether 0775 would have been wiser?
Anyway. I finally installed from the archive and that reported completing successfully.
However, when I visit the addons page, I still see

Any suggestions?
Many thanks.

Are you able to uninstall it from the menu?

If not, please try these steps:
1. Disable the add-on
2. Delete the /src/addons/DBTech/eCommerce directory
3. Re-upload v1.2.4 manually (not via archive installer)
4. Uninstall it
5. Reinstall it using the 1.5.x archive

I wasn't able to uninstall, but steps 1 through 4 worked fine.
Then when installing from the archive, it halted with an error that the addons/DBTech folder is not writable.
(I think I need to chown maybe? May have to ask my host Nimbus to make sure the FTP login and Xenforo processes are working with the correct permissions.)
So I chmoded it again and then re-ran the import and that reports completing successfully and eCommercice 1.5.1 is finally installed.

Shows how much a week and a bit of migrating AVForums from XF1 to 2.1 and then firefighting issues can make you frazzled!

Thank you so much for your help. Very much appreciated.
Hopefully the last question.
Which do I import?
Xen Product manager (1.2.6+)
or
XR Product Manager (2.0.0+)
?
Neither of those correlate with the addons I have installed, so I'm not sure what's going on there.
Chris D may have tinkered with my installation at some point.

Since you have Xen Product Manager v1.2.13 installed, which is in the v1.2 branch, I'd say Xen Product Manager (1.2.6+) is the correct option :)

Many thanks.

Many thanks for your help this evening.
I purchased eCommerce, by the way, because Xon recommended it highly,

The administrator has not completed set up of the eCommerce system. The forum's business details must be filled out in the administrator options, under "Invoice Options".

You'll need to fill this out in the XenForo options for this mod before the store will be operational.
