When I type a description in the downloads box to shows up in the descriptions field with HTML tags like this:
Code:
<p>Description of download</p>
Is there any kind of work around for this? I've added an attachment in case I wasn't plain. Thanks guys.

Hey Debbi :)

I am currently working on getting this fixed! I assume this is happening for you on firefox?

No, on IE actually. Thanks David. I'll keep a check on it.

Edited to add: It does indeed do the same thing on Foxfire.

So not rushing you David. Just wondering if there's a fix for this anywhere in the near future. I'm only using vbDownloads on a test board at the moment. Won't take it "live" till this gets sorted. So far it's the only problem I've had with it. Everything else is working great, including the uploading. Love the progress bar when downloading. It's a really good mod. Just waiting for a fix on my issue and I'm all set. I'll just keep checking back on this thread till I hear back from you. Thanks a bunch.

I may have a fix for you today Debbi :) Glad that you are enjoying the mod!

I certainly will! Thanks so much David. Can't begin to tell you how much I appreciate it!

Edited to add: It works beautifully in the comments, but when it posts to the forums it still has that HTML mumbo jumbo LOL. Not complaining. I can turn that option off. Just thought you'd like to know.

Hey Debbi,

I've just uploaded a fix for the issues you mentioned above. Please re-download and re-upload the files and you should be good to go! Let me know if you have any further problems with vBDownloads! Thanks again for reporting these problems!

I will do just that! I know it must be so difficult making these mods work in all browsers. I've used IE all my life, but recently switched to Foxfire. There are so many these days. If I run into anything else I'll let you know here, and thanks for all you do!

ETA: Seems to be working beautifully now David. Great job!

Great to hear! :) Hope you enjoy using the mod!
