Question XF to send mass email

Hi DBT,

We set up MailChannels SMTP.

Most of the emails get delivered. We get a bunch of these in the Server Logs:

Swift_TransportException: Email to {email address} failed: Unable to send mail. src/XF/Mail/Mailer.php:307

I want a system that enables us to send emails to 1,000 users MAX at the moment. I want it to work like MailChimp, where the list hygiene (bounces, unsubscribers, etc) is handled automatically.

Your thoughts / Can you help?

Hi there,

DB Mail does indeed have the option of limiting to X amount of emails per hour. This limit works globally, so it affects every single piece of mail your forum sends, except for the test email sent and certain other transactional mails that XF doesn't use the mail queue for.

Bounces are already handled by XF, but it does work with DB Mail's mailing lists, so if someone is flagged as bounced, they'll no longer receive email from our mailing lists

There's a Professional Installation option when purchasing: https://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/store/dragonbyte-mail.342/ but it doesn't normally include setup.

That being said, I can do some basic configuration based on questions I'd be asking after it's installed
