I was wondering about those notifications setups..

Is there any difference setting this to one forum and many forums for this feature?
I am a general forum from news to computers categories and I can say it kind a active forum which has more then 5 million post..

And I want to use this feature to let our members know what is going on the forum with real time updates..In order to accomplish this, I need to check all my forums which is maybe more then 100..If I check all of my forums, is it going create too much request from my server? Or, Is it just depending on enable or disable thing for using server resources?

Well, I would strongly recommend against setting it up for your spam forum ;)
It's not going to cause your server to keel over and die all on its own, but too many inserts is generally not recommended regardless.

How many posts do you have per hour?
Or maybe more accurately, per minute?

If you have more than, say, 20 posts an hour, it might piss users off if you make the shoutbox too spammy...

I think your users would like it more if you used vBS notifications to only post forum news, and maybe use soemthing like InfoPanels to show the Latest Replies block. That + vBOptimise should help keep the load down and keep your shouters happy :)

I am kind a comfused.. :)
I really want to show every thread and post updates in real time..Doesn't matter, If the post is has no meaning at all..I just want to show them this as our forum activity stream..For know, I dont allow my users to post shouts but stuff..Stuff has one chat room and one anouncement room for users..

Again, Do you not recoment this because of it is going to make mass for users? Or, is it going to create big problem on server side?
Lets say, I got 20 post at least every 5 minutes from all of my forums then is it bad idea to enable this for all of my forums? (I dont use, post marker feature yet)

Second, I was wondering why my public chats and notifications dont show up on shoutbox tab? It says nothing to display, even to admin who every lind of permisions set for..

Hmmm, 20 posts a minute is a lot. I'm not sure what will happen to be honest, we haven't had a chance to do much testing on such a large scale as that. Maybe Deceptor will have more to add to this tomorrow when he wakes up :)

If your notifications don't show up in the shoutbox tab, you may have them disabled in your settings. UserCP -> Shoutbox Settings -> check to see if notifications are disabled. If so, they'll be shown only in the Notifications tab.

I just check the statistics again and let me clearify..
In aveagre, our forum daily getting 250-350 new thread and 2000-3000 new post..(it was triple of this values 1 or 2 years ago..Ahh Ahh.. :( I hate Facebook ) Deceptor please consider this values..

Fillip H., is there a way that to make this option checked by default for everybody?

Instance name shouldn't have anything to do with it. Can you link me to your forum so I can see if I can spot what's going on?
