Question Expired/discarded Items don't disappear

hello,

i don't know if this is a bug or some kind of misconfiguration. this are the settings...

the item (custom, just a pic as gift) is set to discard after expiry. the item duration is two days. as far as i understand, the item should disappear from the user profiles automatically after those two days.

at the moment all items are still on their profiles, they only cannot activate it anymore, but it is possible that they discard it by themselves. another thing is, items that are set to discard after expiry after they were gifted are still active. wouldn't it be better if they disappear to?

and one last thing, is it possible that you add an option items are active automatically? we just want to keep it as simple as possible for the users. someone sends a gift to someone else, the item (a coffee or a beer) is visible in the inventory for a few days and then disappears automatically. if not some users would have a few hundred coffees on their profile page

Can you show me screenshots of the AdminCP configuration of the item that isn't expiring?

I've had a look at your site and I can't find a reason for why this would happen. The database adapter says 1 row was deleted from your database, but when reloading the page the item is still there.

Are you running any form of database caching anywhere? I didn't see any caching or master/slave system set up but I couldn't know for sure.

it is a simple shared webhosting at blazingfast, not a v-server or anything he have influence or even modified...

I see.

This isn't a major feature that renders the product unusable by its absence. Add that to the fact that I'm not comfortable with the subject matter of your website, I won't be able to assist further as the issue doesn't appear to be in our code.

Our code is running just fine, and the database reports back that it has successfully deleted rows when, in fact, it hasn't.

If others report the same issue, or changes I make in the upcoming v6.1 rework impact this, then it may be resolved in the future, but for the time being this issue appears to exist only on your particular setup.
