Not sure which I need, please advise.

I've just moved from SMF to VBulletin. Our reason was to get a better download system and so far I have found none better, except maybe this one. We have vb 4.0.08

Here's what we need,

Allow html in download posts, e.g embed vidoes, etc
Several file upload buttons on each download
Usergroup premission (I'm sure you have this)
Must be able to have multiple sub categories with category images
Must be able to have download images

would be nice

an upload form that we can set to ensure the uploaders get the files to the right place, etc

Being able to show recent downloads or top downloads or both, in the forum homepage as well as the downloads home page, perhaps just a block on the main home forum page

what we don't really need

Paying for downloads
users downloading multiple files (can we switch this off?)

Can you tell me which would be the best version for me?

You could probably achieve this with BBCode. We do have a plan to extend downloads in the future to include a streaming option.

Category images is planned and will be implemented soon enough.
Must be able to have download images
If you include an image while uploading, a thumbnail will automatically be generated for you.

We have an upload form at the moment and we plan to add a progress bar to it.

Recent downloads is included in the downloads home page in pro at the moment. I will probably extend this to the forum homepage at sometime in the future also.
what we don't really need

Paying for downloads
We have an integration product with vBCreditsII but you do not have to install this if you have no need for it.
users downloading multiple files (can we switch this off?)
I can add a setting in the next version to turn this off although this is a pro only feature at the moment.

Can you tell me which would be the best version for me?

If you can tell me anything I did wrong, then I can make sure it doesn't happen with the next ones I use. I'm after the activity and awards on for sure as well as the pro downloads. Just want to test it out first and get an idea if it's what we're looking for, as well as letting the moderators see it, before I spend all the money the members chipped in, lol, actually they now owe me heeps.

I'll let you know what you did wrong, no probs Upgrading to pro is a little easier. It's just a product import and adding a few more files to the /dbtech/ directory.

Ok, you are all setup. I found a small bug that I'll have fixed later today. Lite is now installed for you though

We don't have them in at the moment but it is a highly request feature and as such will be added soon

I may be able to add thumbnails on downloads soon. I'll what I can do about that. What I was saying was if you upload an image with a download, a thumbnail will be generated and the last image will be shown as a thumbnail inside the download (vbdownloads.php?do=download)

Comments, yes there's a comments tab but no way of adding a comment on the download
There is a way to add comments. Look on the left underneath the thumbnail and you will see "Add a comment"
