Question Rotating Banner Settings

When I first installed 1.3.0 Pro I couldn't see the banners so it was set to rotating and I had no further issues. But now after upgrading to 1.4.0
I am having the same issues reported in the thread by Nirjonadda. http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f171/vbdonate-rotating-banner-settings-9722/
I saw a file widget.php and instructions in that thread but wanted to ask before doing anything.
I am not concerned about the sliding banners but I would like the rotating banners back.

I do believe that widget file is included in the new package.

Could you please create and PM me with a temporary FTP and AdminCP account?

For security reasons, we recommend you create a new FTP account only for DBTech support, then disable or delete it after we have both confirmed the issue has been solved and there are no further issues.

The same applies to AdminCP accounts; they should ideally be temporary accounts created for us only. If we have created an account on your site already, you can optionally boost that account to Administrator and then de-admin this account once the issue has been solved.

If you use a .htaccess password protection for your AdminCP directory, it is recommended that you create a new authorized user for DBTech and remove this user once the issue has been solved.

Please test any temporary accounts you create to ensure that the FTP account has access to the forum files, and that the AdminCP account can access the administrative controls for the product we are assisting you with.

Ensuring this is all in order before submitting the information will significantly speed up the process of assisting you. We will alert you via PM if there's any issues with the login information you have provided.

When sending the PM, for your security you should also un-tick the "Save a copy in my Sent Items folder" checkbox. When the access details have been received, we will delete the PM from our inbox. Ensuring you have not kept a copy of the PM reduces the risk of security breaches.

OK I reverted the dbtech/vbdonate_pro/actions/widget.php file to the old version and it works on your site now. I have to try and see why it will work on some sites and not others with the new file. So for now I am done until I can revisit the issue and see if there is anything I can do.

OK .. just so you know I only see a solid banner that changes when I reload the page. Other members ays theys ee a solid banner and a changing one beneath it.
Do you want me to disable the acconts now?

I was able to see the banner that changes on page refresh and the one that slides in just fine on your site. Right now it is only showing the one that changes on page refresh. You can disable the accounts for now as it is all working like they should

OK thanks for your help.
Hopefully in the future we can get the top banner to rotate like before and eliminate the sliding banner.
I will disable the account for now.

The one you are seeing now will change on page refresh (rotating). The other one which is off in the settings (sliding), changes at a specified time interval. That is the only way it has been since they were introduced into the mod.

Ok,
When I installed lite I couldn't see any banners at all only a red box.
Support came in and changed it so they changed all 30 of them.
That must have been the change. It worked great until I did the upgrade. I am a bit confused.
I have a few more to update to Pro but I think I will wait as this host is snail slow as I am sure you noticed.
