Bug Welcome/Referral Inconsistencies

The 1 for maximum is on.
All of the other new users were fine, except this one - his balance is 200, when he only got 1 welcome bonus of 100:

When did you install? If not within 4 days, there were some bug fixes regarding multiple payments despite only one transaction. Download the pro files again and see if that helps going forward.

Do you have any other addons integrated with vbcredits?
 
The version I had installed was the one available on the 11th of May.
I installed today's version. Hopefully, the problem will be fixed. If not - I will post here again.

Just wondering if there has been any progress on this bug, because it would be very useful to have a working version (to help prevent people from making other accounts to get extra Welcoming credits)
 
I am rewriting some new parts to the welcome event which are taking some time to test. They deal with promotions triggering welcome and referral events.
 
Referral system doesn't seem to work.

It seems as if the members who refer users to the site aren't getting the reward credits they're supposed to. I've enabled everything in VBCredits, but yet it doesn't pay the referrer anything for their referral. The prerequisite for generating points is supposed to be: Refer new member, that new member joins and enters the usergroup "Registered Member", then creates A post. The said member has 4 referrals and two of them have posted. So he should have received 200 points yet nothing has been done.


Any thoughts, questions, concerns, moans or groans?
 
Are you using a usergroup promotion to indicate "posts at least once?" if so, promotions are not currently triggering welcome/referral events, but i am almost done with testing a workaround to fix future promotions.
 
No sir, i've not set up a promotion for users who have posted a single post. I do however have two "registered user" groups. One is labeled "Plus" Once users make 20 posts they are promoted to the registered users plus. But i don't have that usergroup used by Credits. The setting was when a new user joins the site, they enter the default usergroup and make one post (this was a toggle bubble). That's really the only thing i'm aware of that i can change. I don't mind giving you an Admin acct to look at the settings, if you have time.
 
Just discovered my welcome event to give 25 credits isn't giving it, I have process in real time enabled and the transaction log says they were awarded (they weren't). I'm having to manually add it for new members. Why would this be happening suddenly? Would it have anything to do with your code swap suggestion?

An update, a new member just got their welcome amount.... seems inconsistent. The referral is definately not working, please see the screenshot.

I just had another member join and as in the screenshot in the last post, it logs that they got the award, however they have a zero balance. I have process all transactions immediately turned on and all settings configured as directed in this forum.

I'm at a loss and would really like to get this running properly soon!

Could you possibly start a new thread about this and label it as a bug report sir? Because it's marked as an answered question it's easily overlooked.

You are joking, right? So that's that? I have to repost and wait a couple more days for help? I don't even want to be posting here at all.... Couldn't you have just told me why it isn't working?
 
The way the reporting works on here is once the original question is answered, and set to such, the dev does not get notices on the thread anymore.

So if you repost the issue as a bug report, he will get the notice and answer accordingly.

Different members of the team handle support for different modifications/areas. The coder and support agent for this mod is Darkwaltz4 - as Ozzy said once a thread is marked as an answered question the coder will not longer receive notifications on it. By creating a bug report the system will gather all the relevant information from you and send a notification to the coder that there is a bug to be resolved.

While we do try to ask people to check specific threads in instances such as this it CAN still be overlooked. For that reason it is a good idea for the person with the issue to start a bug report.

The reason a staff member can't create that report for you is we do not have the information the support agent would need to resolve the bug - things such as what browser does it occur on, does it occur with the standard skin as well as custom skins, do you have vBSEO installed.

It's not something we do to be obtuse, the system is set up to ensure when a bug is reporting we gather as much relevant information as possible to assist in speedy resolution of the issue.

If it was as simple as someone telling you how to make it work it wouldn't be a bug - it would have been fixed and applied to the product already. The fact you are experiencing issues means either that there is an undiagnosed issue somewhere in the coding, or a conflict between this mod and another mod or setting on your forum. We would have nothing to gain from knowing the solution but refusing to give it to you.
