Bug Welcome/Referral Inconsistencies

Via, promotion? I have members join, and that's it. Would that be considered via promotion? Just curious.

Do you have something like "must post once" to become a registered member? Do you have email verification on?
Do you mean the transaction is shown, but they didnt actually get anything?

A promotion as I was referring to it, is something explicitly set up in vb to change one usergroup to another upon certain criteria (posts, time, reputation)

People join, they have to verify email. Yes the transaction is shown, but nothing is awarded. I provided a screenshot. No there are no promotions set up.

I merged all the outstanding threads about this issue, because again I have some patches which Ive been working on to propagate once I've tested it with a couple of you.

I've confirmed that I'm not getting the awards for any event, I started with 510 credits before I turned on the awards for my usergroup. Transactions are logged, but the credits are not awarded.

There has to be an easier answer that waiting for a patch, I really need to get this sorted soon.

A patch would be the only way to go, the issue can not be resolved just by adjusting a setting, Darkwaltz4 will answer this as soon as he can!

Thanks for your patience guys - as i said, i was moving, and still dont have internet at home. But, i am back at my work office so i can poke around again.

As it currently stands, i cant reproduce the normal welcome issue and figured out a way to get the promotion welcome issue working, but those are in a maintenance update I am putting together shortly. Perhaps a combination of things has fixed this issue from the old version.

Again sorry on the delay, but i will look at your site jester, to figure out why transactions arent working entirely.

I apologize for the delay in getting back to you on your issue. Tonight I've released a very-long-overdue update to vBCredits which contains dozens of bug fixes and improvements.
Can you please upgrade to the new v2.1.0 and let me know if your issue still persists? We can work from there now that all of the patches etc are up to date. Thanks!
