This is following up from the previous bug report I made, where I was asked to separate the requests into a separate post so it doesn't get lost. You can read the original here: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/f80/two-downloadsii-import-issues-other-issues-5231

1- Please implement an option for the search to display all results (or results by page) on a separate page and not an ajax window that closes every time you click on something. It saves time when browsing through multiple file. If implemented it would be nice to be able to click the top of a table column and sort the results by name, author, ranking, download count, post date, and last updated.

2- An option to rename the Downloads tab in the user profile, simply because it is the same as the DownloadsII tab and for that reason can become confusing if you have both installed.

3- The Add Comment link for a file is in a place that is not obvious at all. When you open the Comments tab it would be nice for a nice big Add Comment button to appear at the top and bottom of the window.

4- In reference to the Comments/Thread system. The Comment system feels lacking and the Create Thread system feels like as much of a last-minute hack as DownloadsII's Create Thread modification (not trying to be insulting here). What I'd like to see is either the comments system replaced with something closer to the functionality of a forum thread, or straight-out integrated. Important features would be the ability to reply to (possibly in nested thread form) other comments from the file page, the ability to subscribe to a file for updates and/or new comments (the first is useful for people using the file who want a notification that it has been updated, the latter for authors to keep track of when someone is trying to contact them), and the ability to do a site-wide or file-specific search where the results can include the content of the comments (useful for finding answer when troubleshooting). This (rather long-winded) request seems like the most important thing in this post, for so many reasons.

5- The ability for a file owner or site moderator to change the owner of a file. This is useful for when a file is abandoned and someone wants to be assigned to it, or when a file is uploaded on behalf of someone else and later the original author wants credit for it. (It happens a lot with game mods)

As I continue to test the system before we launch it in my site in December (again, described in the other post) I will add more things as they become apparent. I'd love to see this modification become the kind of perfection that would make me able to recommend it to absolutely anyone using DownloadsII, because that mod feels abandoned 99% of the time and the author never takes any advice or feature suggestions, even though they are often offered to him.

For the future, could you please post separate feature requests in separate threads? If we implement some of the features in one version, we will have no way of tracking the ones we didn't, as the thread will be marked as Implemented. Thanks :)
